Lock Frame and Wheel Together

by Administrator 18. November 2009 03:04

A simple mistake that many individuals will do when attempting to secure their bike is to improperly lock the bike.  It is important that whenever an individual is attempting to secure their bike  that they lock the frame and at least one wheel together to an immovable object.

Some individuals make the mistake of locking just the wheel to the object and leaving the bike.  Even with an extremely good bicycle lock,  a thief would be able to simply walk up to the bike, detach the wheel, and walk away. It is important to verify that a thief would not be able to do this before leaving a bicycle locked up at a remote location.
