Cyclist Raise Awareness for Safer Roads

by Administrator 9. November 2009 08:33

Over 150 bicyclists in Georgia recently took part in a ride that raised money and awareness for bike safety.  The riders hoped that the event would help promote and raise awareness for safer roads for cyclists.

The group rode between two cities that were close to one another.  The group had a police escort at the time of the ride, and some riders stated that the trip wouldn't have been possible without the police escort.  The fact that the riders needed a police escort to get between cities was an example of the need for safer roads.
