Looking for a way to add new meaning to your hobby? Would you like to enjoy an exhilarating, scenic bike ride while supporting a good cause? Here are three annual fundraising trips that support great organizations. Check them out!
The American Lung Association’s Big Ride Across America
- • When: 48 days in the summer, annually
- • Where: From Seattle to Washington, DC
This challenging ride is run by volunteers who have been through it before, so they have the experience to see you through. Three meals a day are provided, as well as shower facilities and transportation for your supplies. Best of all, all funds raised go directly to the American Lung Association of Washington to them help research cures for lung disease and educate people about lung health.
Bike MS
- When: Dates vary by location
- Where: Over 100 different locations around the country
Raising funds to fight MS has become easier than ever. On The National MS Association’s webpage, you can search an interactive map for a bike ride that suits you best, then register, build a team, and contact other bikers – all from the comfort of your chair! Rides are divided into easy, moderate, and challenging categories, so you can ride at a level with which you’re comfortable. The NMSA will use all funds raised to help victims of multiple sclerosis stay healthy – both physically and emotionally.
American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure
- When: Throughout the year, annually
- Where: 40 different states so far
Raise money for the ADA in your own way. This fundraising event offers a variety of bicycle rides, varying in length and difficulty, all over the country and throughout the year. Funds raised will help the ADA provide support and information to Americans with diabetes while conducting research for a cure.
